"Stop.." Ridley muttered, rolling over in her sleep, trying to escape the hot breath on her face. It was late afternoon and she had just gotten back in from lacrosse practice and was trying her hardest to sleep for at least two hours. Her dog thought different though. The big chocolate lab had pounced on her when she walked into her dorm and proceeded to lay on top of her when she collapsed onto her tiny, messy bed. "Reject, quit!" It didn't bother Ridley at first, but about fifteen minutes later, Reject had gotten impatient and started wiggling around in order to wake her up so she could feed him and take him outside.
"I will seriously throw your fat ass off the bed if you don't quit, Reject Geraldo Thompson." Ridley whined as she dug herself deeper into the blankets and pillows. Still no use. Why couldn't the little bugger just lay down and go to sleep? Ridley guessed he had some dog form of ADD, if that was even possible. The chocolate lab whine and wiggled relentlessly, but even if Ridley tried, she wouldn't be able to shove him off the bed; he was too big. "Fine." Ridley gave a frustrated yell which caused Reject to jump off the bed in fear anyways, and Rid sat up quickly in bed and slid out from under the covers. "I should have left you back in Vegas. Having you around all the time is like having a damn puppy. Better yet, a damn baby." Ridley shook her head and changed from her practice uniform to shorts and a blue tank top before making her way across the small dorm.
The chocolate lab followed beside her anxiously and eyed the door and the leash in Ridley's hand. The sucky part about living and going to school at BHH was the fact that the dorm was so small and Reject had barely any room at all. Ridley actually said that she already had a roommate just so she wouldn't get one; if she did, they'd move out within a week anyways. Reject was her one and only roommate, and he was all Ridley needed. Ridley talked to him like he was another person (though he never answered with more than a twitch of his head or some weird noise), which would make anyone think she was totally insane. Talking to your dog? C'mon, you have to be a nut case to do that, right? Stopping at the door, Reject sat obediently for Ridley as she attached the leash to his collar and the two exited the dorm. It looked like everyone was already in their dorms since the Destry Building was pretty much empty, which made it easier for Ridley and her spazzy dog. She wouldn't have to worry about Reject tackling some other student.
The campus at Beverly Hills High was huge, dozens of acres surrounded it. Ridley's feet were still getting used to it, and she still found herself getting lost if she didn't pay attention to what she was doing. When she was out walking her dog, Ridley was always off in some other place, thinking about everything that had happened earlier that day, or that week. Her mind was stuck on things she had talked about with Bella and Angelina, and how she knew something bad was going to happen is she pursued that guy she liked. Ridley looked up and discovered she was somewhere she couldn't name since it looked like she had never been there before. She could hear horses, so she could guess she was somewhere near those stabels. Reject looked up at her, his ears perking up. "You wouldn't happen to have a map would you?" Ridley asked, raising her eyebrows at him.

Josh liked horses, hed used to own one until his dad got rid of it, because he said it took up too much money and too much of josh's time, even though money problems were never an issue for his family. It was just another excuse for his dad to make joshs life hell. He would usually go down to the stables and spend some time with the horses. His favorite was a black stallion whom he named as boxer because of his personality. It reminded him of his cat back home, well it was his moms, but the cat hated his mom and always followed josh around. He was a black cat, his left ear and the tip of his nose had a splotch of white on it, as well as the ends of his front paws. He was a fiesty little thing and was picky about who he liked. He would bat at anybody else. So josh had named him Boxer.
He rubbed boxers muzzle and fed him a sugar cube kissin his forhead before saying his goodbyes and heading out of the stables. He was closing the door on the stables when he heard someone asking if someone had a map. When he looked up and saw Ridley he grinned and then saw she was talking to her dog. With a small smile he headed over to her. "You lost?"he asked her.

Just by looking around, Ridley couldn't tell where she had come from or which direction she could go in order to get back to the school. In short, Ridley was screwed unless she ran into someone else. Most students were probably out eating anyways, so Ridders was probably just stranded there until someone came along and found her. Well, at least she had Reject. He could keep her company, and he could keep her warm, and if it ever came to it, Ridley could eat him. Hopefully it wouldn't get that far, because Ridley would starve before eating her dog. That was just cruel and inhuman. "I'd rather starve to death than eat you, Love." Ridley said, scratching the dog behind the ears.
Tom Hanks didn't eat Winston when he was starving, and though Winston was only a volleyball, Tom still wouldn't eat him because he was him best friend. Reject was Ridley's baby, he came before any guy that ever tried to walk into Ridley's life. All those other guys had lied and cheated, but not Reject. He would stay by Ridley's side no matter what. Ridley's thoughts took a detour when she heard footsteps coming her way. Thank god! She wouldn't have to turn into a savage cannibal because she couldn't find her way back to the school. Looking up, Ridley saw Josh walking over towards her. Great. Here she was, lost, talking to her dog, and it had to be Josh that found her. Talk about embarassing. For real.
"Okay, so, you caught me. I'm lost." Ridley said to him while he walked over to her. Reject had turned his head curiously in Josh's direction and was barking softly as he approached Ridley. "I told you I'm still new around here. I don't even know where the hell I am. I wasn't paying attention and got a bit off track.." Ridley shook her head and folded her arms across her chest, her eyes dropping to the yappy dog sitting at her feet. "And this is the vicious guard dog, Reject." Ridley told Josh sarcastically, looking back up at him. Vicious guard dog. Yeah, whatever.
